If you are planning on retiring you need to consider a few things first. You need to analyze your financial plan and check your investments. Have they gone down with the economy? Have you lost some of your net worth?

If the answer is yes then you need to take a long hard look at the next couple years of your life. Yes, it would be wonderful to retire, but if you are entering retirement with debt then it is going to be painful and difficult.

Weigh out your options and endure and with just a few more years of work retirement might be an option. But stick with it, because it is well worth it.
