I came across the top ten best places to live in the USA and thought I would share them.  These cities just aren’t great because of location, weather, recreation, etc.  They have plentiful job opportunities, great schools, and affordable housing. Financial success begins in the home and with your own personal habits, but if you have an affordable home, a good paying job, and live in a nice place, it’s a big bonus. Check them out.

These are the best small cities to live in the great USA:

  1. Plymouth, MINNESOTA
  2. Fort Collins, COLORADO
  3. Naperville, ILLINOIS
  4. Irvine, CALIFORNIA
  5. Franklin Township, NEW JERSEY
  6. Norman, OKLAHOMA
  7. Round Rock, TEXAS
  8. Columbia/Ellicott City, MARYLAND
  9. Overland Park, KANSAS
  10. Fishers, INDIANA

(Results from cnnmoney.com)

The only city I can say anything about on that list is Fort Collins.  I had some friends move there several years ago from Seattle and they’ve loved it.  Of course, they did come from a rainy state, so they had that going for them.

In any case, if you’ve been thinking that you’re just plum out of luck where you live now–you can’t find a good job, your kids don’t like their school, your rent is too high–look into these places.  Maybe you can find a place more affordable and job that pays better.
